Andy was very lucky, and for Christmas Santa brought him a new digital camera. It's a Nikon Coolpix 8800 and it's likely to take a while for him to get the hang of it. Nevertheless, here's a few snaps taken over Christmas day and Boxing day to try it out. (Don't worry, they've all been resized down from their original 3264x2448 so they shouldn't take weeks to download):

More snow, this is in the ex-wheelbarrow where we now grow heathers

Here are some photographs taken over the last few months with borrowed cameras!

Earlier in the year the Coastguard's "Coastwalk" eventually reached our patch. The idea had been to pass a teddy bear and flag around the coast of Great Britain between each coastguard team, like a relay race, with the bear and flag going all around the countries in 2002 to raise money for charity. Well it seems to have a taken a lot longer than anticipated!

In 2002 the bear and flag (and a bottle of something alcoholic) made it from the start at Lands End, up around Cornwall, all around the Welsh coast, up the western edge of Northern England and into Scotland; but at that point the bear seemed to need a rest.

Here's some snaps of some of the Prawle Point CRC doing their bit once it all got to us:

Sean, Lindsey, Katie, Gavin, the bear and Robert at Rickham (outside Gara Rock hotel)

Sorry, there's no pictures of the rescue of two sheep that we did half-way around our part of the walk -- we were a bit busy at the time!

In total we raised £108 by rattling a bucket at the walkers on the cliff and the customers of all the open pubs we could find along the route. Thanks for the generosity of all who contributed.

As usual, come the winter Ian's boat had to be taken out of the water. Here's some photographs of the process taking place down at Goodshelter:

Pride & Joy in the mud waiting for the tide
with Ian getting the ropes ready

The trailer on position
(good shot of our previous jeep too)

The boat afloat

Part way onto the trailer,
just a little more water needed

Finally ashore ready to be towed
