Some of you may remember that we went to Ireland last year (and the year before); well this year we went for a shopping trip to New York instead.

We visited the site of the World Trade Centre, where the twin towers were destroyed on September 11th 2001. On the day we visited, the rail station connecting to New Jersey was just being re-opened after over two years.

By they way, in Ireland we found that shops no longer gave their customers those little plastic bags into which they can put their shopping. Instead, we had to use the bags we had with us, and one of John Hannaford's bags became rather famous in the Cork area!

Well guess what? The Hannaford's bag came with us again:
